Shekinah Deliverance Ministries is holy in nature, Pentecostal by denomination, Afrocentric in culture, and apostolic in structure and function. It is a fresh, innovative church that follows the Bible's paradigm of government and order. It is a holistic ministry whose focus is on wellness in every area of our lives. SDM is a premier CENTER for worship, prayer, relationship, deliverance, and training. While Shekinah opens its arms to everyone who is in pursuit of a deeper relationship with their Heavenly Father, we have found that it particularly attracts those needing a fresh start, a second chance, and a new beginning. Many of us have had our first deeply intimate experience with God at Shekinah, and have discovered so much more about God, Jesus Christ, and ourselves than we ever dreamed possible! Our services incorporate the best of West African culture, Pentecost, "old-time church", and contemporary worship. This is a most delightful blend! The teaching at SDM is exceptional; our training intensive, and fresh revelation is abundant. We are constantly learning about God, His Nature, and who He is in us. We are real people with real issues, in pursuit of a real relationship with God. Our worship is electrifying as we experience the intensity of God's Presence, and witness His manifested GLORY! We are the H.I.P. church, where "Holiness is In Progress", Pentecostal FIRE is falling, and we’re training for reigning! Our church is strategically located in both commercial and residential districts where crime, poverty, addictions, as well as fine property, families, and businesses are abundant. We are a community church, reaching out to those in north Richmond, VA. Thus, we are being matured in our relationships with God, self, and others. Every covenant member is trained to work the ministry based on his or her particular anointing and gifts. This allows us to impact our families and community. Our Apostle's approach to ministry is to build a quality people of character, integrity, and anointing rather than of mere quantity alone. Bishop Hyman is anointed to help people find themselves, and fulfill their destinies while learning to love God and master the human condition. As we embrace the hurting, lost, addicts, the successful, and those in pursuit of change and a meaningful life, we also grow and find meaning in life.
SDM is the headquarter church of Kingdom Life Apostolic Movement, where our Pastor is the Primate Bishop and Chief Apostle. It is also in covenant with Holy Light Pentecostal Ministries, Inc., Apostle Debra E. Gause, Presiding Prelate, and Int'l Vice Bishop of Kingdom Life Apostolic Movement. SDM is the place to gain wonderful insight into ourselves, our divine assignments, the Scriptures, and into the mysteries of the Kingdom!
